It is with deep sorrow we announce the death of our dearly beloved Fr. Pius Figarado OCD. Born on 11 July 1949, he belonged to Santa Cruz Church, Ochanthuruth in the Archdiocese of Verapoly. After making his Solemn Profession on 10 February 1974, he was Ordained at St. Joseph’s Pontifical Seminary, Aluva on 18 December 1974. He served our province in different offices like that of Provincial Secretary and Archivist. During his life time he was conventual in our different communities at Eramalloor, Ernakulam, Perumpadappu, varapuzha and Aluva.
He breathed his last at 9.15 am, today (April 13 2022), at our St. Joseph Hospital, Manjummel. Today from 6.00 pm to 8.00 pm the mortal remains will be at St. joseph’s Hospital Chapel to offer our prayers. The body will be brought to our Manjummel Church at 8.00am tomorrow for us to offer our prayers. At 9.30 am (14/04/2022) begins the prayer service followed by the funeral Mass. Let us pray for the repose of his soul.
